It's obviously hard to reproduce (without debugging tools), but if you're paralyzed (in this case, strung in the back by a scorpion) while you were climbing, you can keep climbing. I assume you can't stop then climb some more, but again it's hard to test.
I'm not sure what should happen then, just you stay freezed on the wall, or immediately fall. I imagine that if you're pushed in any way after being paralyzed you should fall, but that's open to discussion
