Actual behavior:
An enemy spider attacks and paralyzes. I kill the creature while paralyzed and then rest for 13 hours. After resting, the paralyze spell continues.
Expected behavior:
The enemy paralyze spell should tick down during rest, ending before a single hour has passed.

Re: Linux #138: Enemy spells do not tick down during rest
Thank you Jay.
There's a similar bug report about spells not respecting travel time, and both are related to how spell time is tracked independently of world time. I'll sort this out soon.

Yes, I am nefarious for reposting bug reports. My confidence in the DFU crew has grown as I've seen their patience with me

Re: Linux #138: Enemy spells do not tick down during rest
Is this part of the same phenomenon?
I had a vampire cast sleep (I think that's what it is) on me. I haven't found a way to dispel it yet, as my dispels never seem to work and the drain fatigue effect lasts a long time. Resting is out of the question and standing around casting restore fatigue spells stops being fun eventually. [If it works like in classic DF, I think it could take over half an hour of real world time for the spell to wear off.]
So, this time, I saved and reloaded and ... spell effect gone. I have a save with the icon on screen, but the effect has disappeared whenever I reload. I confess that I've got very mixed feelings about reporting this little exploit.

@Prester Lewin: I assume it does, as this spell is very effective and doesn't timeout while you're sleeping. Happened to me too, as I explain in the first bug report.
