Win_x64_0.7.91: Gameplay issue: quests not giving rep [CLOSED]

Post by SlainByWoodborne »

Description:
In the save, the NPC named "Carolyrrya Mastersley" will not rise above a -28 rep no matter how many quests I complete for it. Currently, I have a quest,
The First Printing
, ready to complete.

1) Load the attached save file.
2) Enable the quest debugger.
3) Change to "Info" mode.
4) Click on "Carolyrrya Mastersley".
5) Verify the initial rep of -28.
6) Change to "Grab" mode.
7) Click on "Carolyrrya Mastersley" to complete the quest.
8) Change to "Info" mode.
9) Verify no change to rep; rep is still -28.

Other thought:
1) I have seen "The First Scroll of Baan Dar" as a quest object fairly frequently and don't think I've seen another book title for retrieval.
2) Is it wrong of me to assume everyone in the castle is a noble? This quest is a merchant quest yet the NPC looks like an adolescent noble.

The info mode quest debugger rep output is there for checking individual named NPCs like Aubk'i and Mynisera, who have specific thresholds to trigger parts of main quest. The output is undefined for generic group-based NPCs.

As far as I'm aware, reputation propagation is working correctly for quests. But that quest debugger info output was never designed for checking this, which is why the output isn't what you expect.

I'll leave this one here as a reminder to improve that info click debugger output. Either to make it more useful or to ignore generic NPCs.
