If you use Info mode on him, you get some commoner name:

Yep, ol' Sheo is also still known as Mordistair Copperfield in my Win 7 game as of DFU build 0.8.6, so it's not Linux-specific.

I assume that this is not classic behaviour then, to have a random name?

Stupid question, but is there a hack in classic to somehow (more) quickly access Sheo to test? I don't have any classic saves started currently. But even if it can't be tested in classic, there seems to be no lore reason to keep a commoner name for this gent in the DFU message text.

After a rather unpleasant journey through Aetherius...

It turns out Sheogorath has no name. If you click on him in any way, including F3, he'll give his speech. If you're out of speech range, nothing will show up; it'll just say, "You're too far away."

Thanks for the confirmation, Jay - hopefully this is a relatively simple fix in DFU.

I just pushed a PR, this should be fixed in next build.

Now, like in classic, you won't get any name when activating Sheogorath in information mode.
