[0.10.4] Houses with multiple entrances confuse entry point [RESOLVED]

Post by Jay_H » Sat Aug 31, 2019 5:34 pm

I don't have a version number yet, but hopefully one of the three points of reference will offer it.

When a house has multiple entry doors, often all doors will just place you in one entry point, not the one corresponding to its place.

I can't reproduce this myself, but this is suddenly a very common question.
ON HIATUS. Will be difficult to find.

The transition code shluld place player in front of closest interior door to the exterior door clicked on in building shell. Possibly an edge case in some buildings resulting in bad placement.

I'll move to bug reports so it can be looked at further.

I was able to re-trace my steps and re-create the problem. It appears to be consistent insofar as if you approach the door on the left from the left hand-side then you enter the correct interior, but if you approach the left door from the right-hand side then you enter the wrong interior. The door on the right always works OK. Save file attached in case it is helpful. I'm on version 10.4.

Thank you for the information. I can see clearly now how this would happen and how to fix.

Thanks for save as well, I'll be able to test your steps in the same location to ensure resolved.
