Re: Convenient Quest Log

Post by Macadaynu »

Hi guys,

I've released a 0.1.0 version of this on Nexus here:

https://www.nexusmods.com/daggerfallunity/mods/189

Any testing feedback would be very much appreciated.

Also can I get an admin to create a topic in the released mods forum please?

Thanks

Just released version 0.2.0 with the following changes:

- You can now cancel non-story quests by right clicking on the quest title (it tombstones the quest)
- Locations are now displayed in white font, to make them stand out more
- If you are at the quest location it will now show as "Current location", rather than "0 days travel"

Demo here:

I cannot add new note in Notebook (N) when this mod is turned on.

Thanks for the report, will be fixed in the next update.

For now as a workaround if you add a new note by clicking on the 'Notebook' title on the notebook screen, that should allow you to add one.

I'll post an update here when the general fix is available.

Version 0.2.2 has been released to fix the bug with the Notebook:

Could you add the option to exit a quest group using the esc key instead of the right mouse button? This way it would be more consistent with the rest of the menu design.

Nice idea. When I did the other pages I used some highlight colours, but since DFU is a remake I left the active quests format as classic had it. Might be nice to use them in this mod though maybe? Let me know if you need any pointers.

Hi Hazelnut, Nice to see you around again :D

Do you mean the like the white highlighting I used for the quest locations? The original demo video didn't have it at the time, but it was added in a later release.

Cool, glad you found it and used it. IIRc there was also blue highlighting too which I used for conversation text copied into notebook so it was easier to follow a full exchange :)
