First item didn't have green background.
There was no message popup.
It was not true quest item.
But it was the same item as quest item.
And I don't think it's random item.
It was single in container.
I was confused a lot.

Yeah, then it was just a coincidence. Quest-related items will always have a green background. Weird, but so is the world of Daggerfall ;)

Is JHFG006 bugged?
I get the quest, I go to the quest location, and I'm told to "make sure the house is empty"...well, there's always a character sprite in there like with every other house, and no enemies. Just me, the client and the home owner. I've looked around every inch of the home, exited and re-entered, loitered, even starting to go into every single other home in the city. Just not sure whether the quest is bugged or if I'm missing something. :?

I haven't heard about any problems with it yet. Can you post a save of the problem in action?

Quest JHMG017

Cannot find quest NPC.
I found residence, entered it. There is another NPC but quest NPC is absent.
I used console "tele2qspaw" which successfully teleport me to some place inside the residence but no quest NPC there.

You uploaded a folder which, when I tried to download, Mediafire insisted I get a premium account to download multiple files at once. I had to download each file of your save individually to piece it together, and it still won't work. Mediafire is one of those bad file hosts that does bad things. Be sure to make it a .zip file next time ;)

d999, if you can post a save file I'll see what I can about it.

The person's on the second floor. tele2qspawn is unreliable outside of dungeons, but it does at least indicate that the house is the right or wrong one.

I found the weird thing.
I cannot enter to second floor through upper door for the first time.
When I enter upper door for the first time I get to first floor!
Only after I exit residence and again enter upper door I enter to second floor.
Because of that I could not find quest NPC.

Is such behaviour "normal" for Daggerfall?
