Build #138 Quest n0b20y02 - Mage appears in random guild in town instead of Mage's Guild [RESOLVED]

Playing on Windows x64 Build #138
According to the uesp wiki at least, the mage in need of protection should always appear in the Mage's Guild hall where you've accepted the quest.
I ran this quest several times and while the mage was sometimes in the Mage's Guild, sometimes I was sent to the town's Fighter's Guild or Knightly Order(s) instead. Thankfully the quest giver and log will at least point you in the right direction, and the quest can otherwise be completed without too much trouble.
