Stored items disappear from ship [WORKAROUND AVAILABLE]

Post by johnwax »

0.7.2 x32 - Stored some items (armor sets, unused magic items, books) in my ship. Returned later to add more items and all were gone.

Did some experiments - dropped an item on the deck, returned to Daggerfall and then back to the ship - item was gone. Next, dropped another item and saved. Went to Daggerfall and then back to the ship - item was again gone.

This didn't happen in #139. A bug?

Please check it's not due to the building key change: https://forums.dfworkshop.net/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1426

or provide a save so I can check.

Thanks, that did it. Turns out this was my oldest DFU PC - circa build 137 -that I just went back to. (I'm running sixs PCs - 3 DFU and 3 classic imports - all different skill sets).

Hmm, maybe we need a sticky for known issues like this...

I agree a sticky topic called something like "Common Issues & Workarounds" in the Bug Reports forum for stuff like this would actually be helpful. What else would we put in there besides this one?

For this specific issue, there's a good chance the number of incidents will drop off sharply as people run newer versions and old saves are overwritten. As it is, we've only had a couple of people raise this one since change went in (I expected a lot more).
