Console command to unclutter bodies

Hello all,

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a console command to clear bodies from a cell? The reason I am asking is I got offered the mage quest to guard the guild 4 times in a row. Which I of course took but it got very cluttered as the bodies didn't despawn like I recall them doing in classic. This resulted in the shifting position to try and loot all the thieves when they ended up clumped together. I do like how they are spread out over the loiter period but annoying when I have to aggro them then run off so I could be sure to loot them all.

Or some way to push/pull corpses around? I think it would be less immersion breaking :D

Talking to the inn keeper: "Sorry for the mess!"
Then goes about dragging 4 or 5 corpses into the nearest closet...

It would be but that might be a challenge as I am pretty sure they become containers once defeated. As far as I know you can't move any containers (I got knocked between two crates by a bear once, was stuck for a little bit so would love if you could). It is interesting that DFU seems to treat the city of Daggerfall as one big cell so any thing you do in any building seems to stay there until you fast travel away and come back. I don't think there is anything that is less then a day away using fast travel but I suppose I could bounce away then come back to get a quest each time that would clear the bodies out I think.

Yes, that would be a new feature. I don't know how hard it would be to implement, hopefully not too much...
I'm not sure how it would be triggered though. I was thinking left mouse button pressed (or whatever you bound to ACTIVATE OBJECT) + move, but since actions are triggered on "mouse down", that seems difficult to implement It could also make opening loot less reliable (say, what happens if you slightly move while clicking on corpse), so that should be added carefully.

And if you could punch corpses, you would have no way to pull them, and there would be a strong possibility to make things worse (Sokoban-style).

Bodies not clearing after a quest is a bug on my internal TODO list. It's something I will address soon.

There is a system in place for stacked bodies, you don't have to worry so much if they die right on top of each other. Once you empty out a corpse container and see the "contains no treasure" popup, the container object on that corpse is disabled and you can loot whatever is under it. Repeat until everything has been picked up. If there's anything you don't actually want, discard it off to one side in a separate loot pile and keep on looting. :)

Another nice QoL fix to an annoying classic issue!

I remember that you can change the look of loot piles by clicking on them in the inventory screen...
Does it also work with corpses? Maybe they could be changed into urns or something...

Corpses are excluded from that cosmetic feature, but I love the idea.

Something to note about vanilla is that (IIRC) if there are several corpses very close together, and you save then load, they will all be combined into one. I don't know whether it was an intended feature or not, but it was certainly helpful sometimes.

There was a bug in that in classic. It would occasionally do what you describe, but duplicate ALL the items as many times as there were containers, and throw them ALL in together. Four corpses: four sets of everything.

As I recall, it didn't play nice in some quests with respawning enemies based on those that were now corpses. Duped ALL the original's items AGAIN on the new live one, whether you had looted them or not, and added a new set of random loot, as if it had just spawned as new. Turned into a real mess on one save, with each enemy carrying a store-load of weapons and armor. Each.
