Vampire clans?

What decides which clan you belong? The area where you first got the disease or the area where you died and turned to vampire? Also is there any way to get the disease easier, i have now reloaded my save for 2 hours and have not contracted the disease from vampire(saved in front of her)...and yes i have slept every time after each encounter.

Vampire clan is determined by the region you were infected in. Chance of contracting disease is a flat 0.6%. You can use the console command "diseaseplayer vampire" to infect yourself.
