I did one more push and completed the UESP classic wiki page overhaul for the various magic-related pages (see viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2514&p=36673#p36673 for details). Enjoy!

Re: MP cost for spells belonging to multiple schools?
Bringing back this old topic because i noticed there was no info here about the school of Force Bolt. Does Force Bolt belong to Destruction or Alteration school? As previously discussed in here in DFU spells do not belong to multiple schools so i am wondering which one Force Bolt belongs to. It does damage so that would be destruction, but it also Paralyzes so that would be Alteration. Which school decreases it's spellpoint cost? In UESP it still shows that it belongs to both Alteration and Destruction.

Spell effects belong to a single school, but spells can touch multiple schools due to multiple effects. So if you cast a spell with 3 effects, you can improve 3 schools simultaneously
That changed in Morrowind, when multi-effect spells had to choose a single school to belong to.
