Trapdoor above the main room in Privateers Hold

I have this memory, where I was exploring PH in the 90s and there was this invisible trapdoor opening beneath your legs and you dropped to the main room and died. Its not in a DFU. But I cant see it in the vanila as well. It drives me crazy. Was it only in the demo?

I don't recall this one. Perhaps it's one of those "Mandela Effect" things? If so, welcome to this version of the universe, traveller. :)

Talking of that (and sorry for somewhat hijacking this thread), do existing trapdoors work correctly?
At least some do the "opening door" sound when walked on, but do not open...

I was pretty sure they worked, but went as far back as 0.7.120 and this one didn't.
So either I'm also victim of a Mandela effect, or only some of the trapdoors work...

They work for me? Usually you wind up walking over them so quickly you avoid falling in, but I know I've been caught by one at least once.

Okay, so maybe only some of them work. I need to check if this one works in classic.

PS That one definitely works in classic (Castle Faallem, Sentinel)

I will never forget expoloring PH and falling thru that trap door numerous times in the different universe. And it was really like a indiana jones :)

I dont think the DEMO even had the full PH?

Im confused :X

I did not play video games when I was a child, only started as a teen (saw my first computer at 11), but I had memories of movies and spent some time trying to find what they were (because I remembered scenes, not titles): The Omega Man (1971, scifi/horror vampire movie), L'invenzione di Morel (somewhat obscure italian tv movie from 1974, low budget scifi but mind blowing),... and each time they turn out to be quite different from what I remembered.

So I'm not surprized in the least, it could very well be that you conflated several dungeons in one. If so that's great, I like this memory :)

I think there are a few dungeon blocks that do have those kind of trapdoors but I don't think PH has one. I will check the dungeon blocks sometime when I feel like it to identify which ones have a trapdoor. I want to figure out how to set those up anyway

Haha I know what u talk about Pango. But I refuse to accept :)

What I think is, that it might be in a different dungeon with a similar bloc, as BadLuck suggested.

Still... was the main room in PH present in a demo?
