Character Ideas

Post by Ralzar »

I brainstormed some character ideas for DFU the other day.

I might never actually play all of these, but I figured it might inspire someone to try a fun playthrough :)

(I would recommend playing it with my mod setup, but that's up to you obviously.)

Agent Of The Emperor
"You earn your keep by renting out your services to nobles and rich merchants. When they need a job done that requires both brains and brawn, you are the person they turn to. You have been working your way upwards in high society to gain access to more and more well-to-do employers. High Elf Dilletante
"You are the fourth child of a high elf noble family. You have little to show for it but your title and your extensive education, which you mostly squandered by never dedicating yourself to a single field. For a year you thought you would be a famous fencer, then you lost interest and started studying a language, then there was the summer you studied economics and then the year you were certain you were going to become a court magician.
In the end, you wound up as a young elf with many skills that had no particular use. Luckily, at the Emperors court, he took a shine to you and and your aimless enthusiasm. Then one day he gave you a mission. You are truly dedicated to serving the emperor, until you lose interest because you are captiavted by a more interesting story..."

The Resolution of Zenithar (commonly shortened to the Resolution of Z'en) favors those who favor them -- they do not choose to hide behind words like donations, gifts, indulgences.

As the great Psijic once said, the power of ignorance can truly shatter mithril like glass. That is our enemy. Scholarship is a long and difficult journey, and Julianos does not tolerate those who wish to shorten it. The Daedric one is going to become difficult as some of the princes require you to kill a Daedra to complete their quest.

As for the Librarian, I do that with every character just for funzies!

Changed the knight character to be usable as a knight of any of the three major powers. I really like the idea of being a knight who has sworn fealty to his royal family and will be honor bound to act in their interest.

Added a new character idea that I am not sure is viable, but seems like a really interesting experiment: the Researcher Of Julianos which relies on magic items.
