does jumping affect fall damage?

The manual doesnt say so in the skill description but does a high jumping skill allow you to fall from further without taking/taking less damage like in morrowind?

I measured fall damage in classic and found a linear regression (if I remember correctly, you can fall up to 5m without damage, then you take 5hp damage per meter). I haven't checked the effect of jumping skill, that's the first time I hear about that.
