Alright! Somehow I never noticed that while playing; So without knowing the exact order of events (between player actions and messages), I got totally confused. But makes sense now.
I mean, you're not wrong. Open is a strange spell. Rather than have it act as a touch spell as both the name and description suggest, classic casts something on the player that alters his next attempt to open something. So you can cast it, walk around for 5 minutes, and then open a locked door. There is no status icon that shows up to suggest you are imbued with magic, and the duration given in the spell maker vs your spellbook is totally different.

The message "Ready to open" doesn't exist in classic and is Interkarma's attempt to make the spell less confusing, but it accidentally made it equally confusing since people are reading it as "(door is) ready to open (because I just unlocked it)". It's okay IK, I feel your pain ;)

Is the spell Open supposed to have a chance to open a magically locked door? Or does it only "pick locks"?

Paladin build EP3

"Plain robes of nimbleness" buff not always active (not always retriggered; And maybe not retriggered often enough for the effect to be permanent) (not reproduced, fixed?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=152
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=363 Unequipped by mistake by equipping something else, not actived when re-equipped
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=826 Only noticed by then
Maybe magic items on held trigger a spell check?

Weapon left for repair for one day immediately taken back. It doesn't appear to be fixed, but given the repair was prepaid, maybe it requires confirmation? PR (fixed)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=758

Recipient of the current quest strangely hostile "serves you right, after what you've done" (maybe not a bug, could it be some indirect reputation?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=1228

Bats do not spawn until you loiter (or are very slow to spawn? That may very well match classic)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=1506

Daedroth stuck at the corner for a wall for a while after recoil
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=2190

Loss of movement control (rappel mode on nearby lever?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkLAgxQoVXs&t=4558

Residents of a guild not knowing anything about their guild. Even if that may be because they're not willing to speak, this feels like a bug. In some cases, it would make sense for some NPCs to have answers to some specific questions (people know where is that place they just said had work, etc.)

That is matching classic which was what people wanted, otherwise I wasn't even going to bother doing repair times. If I am wrong let me know, but it allows you to get your item back at any time if you need to but the payment is forfeit.

I'm obviously okay with the mechanics; But some people seem to used to instantaneous repairs, that the "1 days" to repair was not interpreted and he took his weapon back without a second thought; and did not notice that the weapon was not actually repaired either.
If classic does not display any warning, would a warning like "That item is not done repairing yet and we give no refunds, continue? Y/N" be considered an improvement?

Classic doesn't allow you to to take back items early. You have to wait for them to say "DONE". What he did in the video is just a bug in repair implementation.

You're right, I didn't think of checking...
So, it seems that in classic you cannot take back an item with SELECT but you can take all your items back with CLEAR. And as Hazelnut described, in this case the items are not repaired and you forfeit the repair price, no warnings.
Since this is not consistent, it's had to tell whether this was intentional, or a mere bug.

I think it would make sense that you could go back to the shop and ask to take back what is still your property, and not totally unrealistic that you couldn't get your money back.
(On second thought it could be more complex than that in real life, as item being repaired could have been taken apart, or being undergoing even more lengthy operations, in the forge or whatnot)

Both ways work as game mechanics too:
  • "sorry, you'll have to do without your favorite weapon for n more days"
  • "you want to do one more dungeon with that sword that's about to fall apart? Good luck"
When a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure.

Oh... weird. Well blocking 1 button isn't an accident, but forgetting to block the other one could've been.

The problem with interrupting repairs is that it creates uncertainties about whether the item got partially repaired or not. The clearest thing to do is just enforce the repair time.

That's pretty bad because what if you start repairing you best hat then need it immediately?? Man, come on you gonna stand for some blacksmith holding your best hat to ransom?
