The list of houses for sale is still only placeholder. I have not got info on how classic populates the list.

And talking to a door opens it, and talking to a container opens it, and grabbing a person talks to them. It's almost as though they didn't want to conform to their own toggle-fest interaction system. :roll:

The last time I did this quest in DFU I had to wait longer than 24 hours for the duelist to show up. It could be a time flag issue.

Either that skill is magical and anything is possible; Or it's some kind of social skill, and it should be more or less likely to succeed depending on context; And in some situations could never succeed.
This one got fixed recently. I made pacification through language skills not apply for quest opponents. I suspect (haven't confirmed) that quest enemies may also be possible to be pacified by language skills in classic, but I think all of the official quests are written in a way where enemies being pacified like that would be inappropriate to the context of the quest (like in the example you gave).

Out of curiosity, I remember hearing many times that pacification thru language skills required the player to have sheath sword...
Is there any truth to that in classic?
