That's a feature request from me really, character creation can easily last 20 to 30 minutes, it's part of the game, it's important so shouldn't be rushed, so anything that can make it a little bit more entertaining (but not distracting) would be helpful in general, and hopefully for streamers too.

I think that by giving higher priority to the computation of the zones you're about to enter, and in the worse case preventing the player from entering a zone that's not computed yet, it should be possible to prevent such falls into the Void

This is a modded UI that tries to look like a real book. The classic UI frames the icons, so a black fill looks better than transparency there. If it looks bad in the mod, then I think it should be the modder's responsibility to remove them.

Note that classic does not let you open an empty spellbook, which doesn't make a lot of sense and might allow players to think they're silenced or have no spellbook. Anything that reduces clicks or confusion is a good enhancement.

I see this as an improvement. First off, the guy is not asking townsfolk where Heluus is. He's just walking in buildings one by one and trying to cross them off. He'll figure this out once he gets a quest target in a bigger town. Secondly, the manual marking function had no real value. I can't think of any reason to create a label besides maybe naming your own house. Buildings already have names and get automarked. It's also potentially a problem when the quest system tries to label a building ontop of a label you've already put down. This frees up left-click for the far more useful function of moving the map around.

Also note that the 3d dungeon map in classic let's you blink a segment by clicking on it. This has value in the sense that you can tell yourself where to backtrack when you've bypassed a fork. But you could only set 1 to blink at a time, and it took up left-click as a function, which hurt map manipulation. That's why I suggested blinking these segments automatically with a superior method that uses transparent highlighting that classic couldn't do.

Well, the guildmaster literally told him his reputation wasn't good enough to join, so it's rather obvious that he needs to do some quests for them to boost it. What's less obvious is skill value requisites on promotions that you basically have to consult a strategy guide to understand.

That being said, I don't know why the original devs thought hiding rep numbers was a good idea. It's a game centered around character progression. A lot of times, the way you complete quests dramatically alters your rep with a certain faction, so the player is making choices based on entirely material rewards with no concept of how hard it's going to hurt their rep.

I disagree with this. In classic I used this function to mark stores with poor shopkeepers or good items I couldn't afford to buy yet. I could be used to make the inn or shop or house where you got a quest so you don't have to check your notes.

I have no problem with a setting that autoappends store labels with a quality tag like (Q4). But shop wares reset on travel I think, so I don't know how you're marking future purchases when the item probably won't be there.

I have not checked but I seem to remember Items in stores being persistent. Can someone fact check me on that?

Beautiful summary, thanks for the efforts, Im sure it will be helpful.

PS: I cant make the icon backgrounds in spellbook disappear, I just change textures. And I dont consider this worth my time honestly. If your spellbook is empty, than I doubt you will spend much time watching it. With a 1st spell written, this problem cease to exist. Solving this is out of my league.

Perhaps a spellbook should always have at least one spell in it. One selected based on your highest magical skill. Probably the cheapest one.

I've used it so many times during quests to find residences or people. I definitely got my use out of it.

It's not always that easy. You also can get the name from checking info on houses. Thats what i do when I have trouble finding the location and mark houses I already checked.
