Win 7 x64 - SPBK01I0.IMG does NOT have a transparency

This tab does not have a transparency ingame, while it is present in the texture and set up properly in Inspector.

Those parts of the image are transparent, which is why you can see the black background panel below them.

Classic Daggerfall uses a clear background when using spellbook UI in "cast" mode:

DFU just follows these conventions. Your transparency is definitely working OK though.

Thanks for a reply and explanation.

What a strange decission on the Beth side I must say.
I consider this discrepancy between the casting and buy versions of the same tab... puzzling. The black background doesnt add anything nice.IMHO.

But if it will stay this way... I might as well disable the transparency and make the background from stone.. will still be better than flat black..

I'm happy to remove that black background. I doubt anyone would die on a hill over something so minor, I was just reproducing classic UI. Agree it's inconsistent.

Please do so mate There are valid reasons to do it, for the sake of

- appearance
- consistency

Black background doesnt make sense in this case. Why create a transparency to fill it with a black not transparent color, right?

I went to do this today and it seems IK was pretty lightning fast doing this change as it's already done.
