0.10.7 Missing Lakes

0.10.7 Missing Lakes

I first thought that this was an issue with Mountains and Hills, but discovered that the same thing happens without the mod installed. (This is tested without any mods at all btw).

Basically, with the current terrain generation, single map tiles of water ("lakes") do not appear in the gams. It creates a deep valley, but no water.

With the smoother rolling terrain in DFU, coastal towns right on the edge of water have a chance to be smoothed partially or fully onto a water pixel. To compensate, land pixels are dilated into water pixels, creating a nicer fall-off. The problem here is that very small water bodies with only a few square pixels of area get dilated out of existence.

Perhaps the method could be refined to prevent this from happening with smaller water bodies interior to the landmass.
