I'm not 100% sure about this since I am not THAT familiar with the game. You might want to give it proper testing. But, I noticed that having my weapon at New or Useless condition basicly changed j*** and s***. About same effectiveness and pretty much no noticable difference.... Not sure if that's intended or not but it is quite confusing. In fact it is so bad I only noticed there even was such a system after hours of gameplay. After repairing it I felt like it was wasted money as really... it dosent feel at all like it changed anything.

In case that is weapon specific, I was using the ebony dagger.

I don't think the effectiveness of the weapon changes. If you don't repair it, at some point it becomes 'broken' and then you can't use it until it's repaired.

Well... if "useless" is its broken state then really it still worked flawlessly.

It's not. The state will literally say 'Broken' and you'll be staring at your fist in the middle of combat. Try it, it's fun I assure you ;)

Well, they sure made it confusing as hell... I mean, there isn't a lot of possible definitions to the word useless. xD

I smell another mod idea :D

It is kind of weird that items go from perfectly fine to broken with no steps in between.

Yeah could add in a mod like "Realistic weapon degradation" with added bonus of being able to shapen the blade wich would last for 48 hours or something.

There is allready a "repair" service in weapon shops, but having a "repair kit" item that let you spend 1 hour of ingame time to increase the items condition by, for example, 10% would be nice.
