I don't know if this just may be something the original game did with its models (and therefore would need a lot of hand editing) or if this is just a bug within these locations. Model appears to have no faces in the back. Here are some screenshots:

That is just how classic models are sometimes. Probably to cut down on the face count back in the days. The higher resolution in DFU has made it more obvious
