Can't talk to quest giver to finish quest.

I'm doing the quest where you get falsely accused of stealing from a merchant. I've learned the identify of the true thief and ratted him out to his enemy, but now I can't talk to the quest giver to finish it. Am I boned?

That quest is dummied out since it's not finished. You're not supposed to be able to play it... What DFU version are you using?

I don't know. I downloaded it like a year ago so it's probably pretty old.

Yes, that's very old I can't help a quest that I know is broken, so the best thing to do is to let it run out of time. That particular quest ruins your regional reputation, so you can use the console command clear_negativelegalrep to get yourself back to normal territory. I also highly recommend moving on to the 0.10.24 version, which has more features and fewer bugs.
