Text overshooting screen edges?

Hi all, I've had a hankering to play this game for a long time (Morrowind is a big favourite of mine) but was always too lazy to try and get it working reasonably well so I'm really grateful that this project exists.
I've just installed 0.11.3 and I'm using the 'silver' retro config for my 1080p screen, it looks great except quite a lot of the text isn't fitting correctly on the screen. I tried toggling the 'free scaling' on since that sounded vaguely like a possiblility but beyond that I'm pretty much just trying random stuff so thought it better just to ask.. Any help gratefully received
