[0.12.3 unmodded] Graphics freeze, game continues to run

[0.12.3 unmodded] Graphics freeze, game continues to run

I get random freezes of the graphics in the game. more detail: The Picture gets frozen, but the game continues to run and i can control it, i hear sounds reacting to my inputs, enemies continue to fight etc. it happens about every minute or so and doesn't stop.
Immidiately upon alt tabbing everything is back to normal.

I suspected it to be some mod, because I used to be able to play this game fine without any issues for literally hundreds of hours..
deleting every single mod and even a clean, modfree reinstall of the game didn't solve my problems though.

my hardware:
ryzen 5600x
rtx6800
16 GB RAM
everything on latest drivers.
no weird softwares running.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I would love to go on another deep dive into the game with more recent mods and updates, but unfortunately right now it's unplayable for me :(

Update: I just tried it on Daggerfall Unity 0.11.3 Beta, same problem.

Your player log might offer some clues about what's happening, if you can make that available. It should be in the same folder as your settings.ini.

There are no errors in log, just looks like a clean startup. Could you please play game further until your problem is produced, then exit game and capture log again for us? There might be errors or more info in logs then.

When posting logs, please zip log file then attach zip file to reply (using attachments tab when posting). Even a modest log is too large to paste as text. Cheers. :)

Sorry for late reply, time zones..
thanks for taking a look! Attached below is a player.log from a new game. played tutorial dungeon for like 2 or 3 mins and i had 2 freezes.
I don't think there is any additional infos in there though :(

I will try to change something in my bios, i had an unrelated system crash (due to some faulty ENB in skyrim) some time ago and I think it changed some gpu compatibility setting automatically after starting back up. I will see if I can find that setting, changing that back might help..
Might try to revert gpu drivers too, I dunno.. I am sure it's just something weird on my end.


Edit: holy shit, that actually seems to have sorted it out. I thought I was just grasping at straws now :lol:

For anyone experiencing similar issues: Check if your CMS is turned on in your bios.. Apparently ASUS likes to enable that shit for you whenever it feels like it :lol:
