New builds are now available, with lots of fun new features to play with. The blog post goes into more detail than I can post here.

Awesome. Usable magic items make non-spellcasters much more viable. Not lacking too many features now.
Try over 90 all-new quests in the first Daggerfall Unity Quest Pack.

Wow, what an update and what an pace!!

"With the great people involved and the progress already made, I can’t see any technical roadblocks between now and reaching parity with classic Daggerfall sometime in the next several months. All of the really challenging problems are solved and the bulk of features are now in reasonable working order" - Dreams really come true my friends :o :o :o

Looking at the roadmap, you might have to skip releases 0.5/0.6 and bump straight to 0.7 or maybe even 0.8!

Yep, it's looking nice and green in there. :) What I'm going to do instead is pause on each milestone and spend time fixing bugs and refining things. I expect that 0.6 > 0.7 > 0.8 will be almost completely bug fixes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- if this amazing team pulls this off (and from what I've seen, they've very much got it in them to do so!), DFU will become THE way to play Daggerfall. Period.

I've seen many a "remake" mod in my day, for Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas, Morrowind... but this is the one I have the most faith in. I'll continue putzing around in the Illiac Bay and reporting any bug I find, no matter how small. Hopefully that doesn't get too annoying for you guys. XD
