RPS forgetting DFU exists - grrr

So RPS have just published a top 50 RPGs article and Daggerfall is at position 30, which is fine - these things are all subjective. See https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2019/10/11/best-rpgs/4

However, what has really annoyed me is that they haven't even mentioned Unity let alone linked to it! This is absolutely stupid, and with one comment "If you’ve got Morrowind and Skyrim on there, you don’t need Daggerfall as well (and although Daggerfall is a great nostalgia nod, I don’t think it’s really playable for a modern audience," you can see the consequences as readers go, oh that's nice, shame it's not worth playing these days.

They even link to an article from 2011 about DF mods which is mostly about the XL Engine and also links to a completely blank page since that project has died ages ago. FFS.

It's not like they didn't just publish an article on Daggerfall Unity just 2 months ago!

I let my RPS membership lapse a couple years back and don't have a login any more - maybe someone here is a member of the RPS community and can castigate them to get it sorted out.

Does this list need three TES games in seperate spots though? Probably not, no.

Hopefully they'll amend the article to include that info and otherwise let us pray that people read comments

Thats how it is with "journalism" in general nowadays. Notice that when ever they report on something you are well informed about - like you have been there, seen that, you was involved in the event, its your passion, whatever - you will see they write just a load of horse sh1t... I observe this for a long time.

My favorite is still that over-the-top chinese BusinessTimes article that, beside claiming that The Elder Scrolls 6 could be out in 2029, talks about OnceLostGames working on their new Daggerfall Unity project...
They've been contacted by several people include OnceLostGames, no response. Not a single comma changed in the article either.

Haha yeah that article Pango's referring to was wildly bad. I'm pretty sure it was written by a bot that just correlated a few search results together.
