Trying to find the (elusive) Order of the Lily

So I've been enjoying life in Tigonus as a member of the House of Dibella and I've been looking through towns trying to find The Order of the Lily, the Knight chapter of that house. No luck so far, I've only come across the actual Temples, I thought Daggerfall Modeling might help me out but that doesn't show the names assigned to the buildings on the city map.

I can't seem to ask people about the location either, just the general info about the Order.

Is there an easy way to find out which city might have an Order instead of a Temple or even to find out if they exist?

I'm pretty sure these were never properly implemented? All the temples have knightly orders, but none of them have actual chapter houses where you can join the order. The closes you get is that some temples have been mislabled with the orders name, but if you go into those buildings and join the guild, you joing the temple, not the order.

For example: Order Of The Hour in Oxwich, Daggerfall. If you join the guild, you become a member of Temple of Akatosh, not Order of the Hour. Because its actually a Temple Of Akatosh with the wrong building name.

Edit: I actually made a "Crusader Of Stendarr" custom class which joined Stendarr and I just roleplayed being a Crusader. This is as close as you get unless someone makes a mod for the temple orders.

Thanks, I was afraid of that :( I knew I joined Orders before and that their buildings bore that name. I'll just continue doing the House quests then, who knows, maybe someday I'll run into one of those mislabeled buildings :)

To the best of our knowledge DFU matches classic DF in this regard. If you joined orders before in classic, please tell us how and where so we can see what we have missed and fix it.l

Sorry if my wording threw you off but I think what I did in classic DF was what Ralzar described, I joined the order but behind the scenes I was really joining the temple. I do think they offered me a house at some point, I'll go pay Oxwich a visit in classic and join the Order of the Hour there to see what happens. Will report back!

-edit

I made a new char as they weren't impressed by my monk but joining the Order of the Hour in classic made me a member of the Akatosh Chantry. After taking a look at the UESP https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Daggerfall:Kni ... s_Overview, I may be confusing the Knightly Orders with the Temple Orders, they're the ones that give out free houses and are actually fleshed out as guilds. The Temple Orders don't seem to be that special.

I remember finding a Temple Order chapel once in vanilla DF (I think it was either the Crusaders or the Kynaran Order, maybe not) and IIRC the only actual difference from a temple was the building's layout, otherwise it was the same as any temple.

I believe it was discussed at some point that the Temple Orders and the Mages Guild knightly order were supposed to act as separate knightly orders with ties to the respective temples/the Mages Guild but the idea was probably dropped (other than keeping it as a piece of lore) because joining such order would likely be more beneficial than membership in a secular order with less incentive to join any of the latter. That, or perhaps the devs were not in position to produce some extra unique temple order quests which would certainly make these factions a bit more interesting.

According to the UESP pages, temple orders are a joinable faction, but it doesnt have any specific info on how or where. I was looking for this info as well and found nothing.
