Can't wait new builds, so many new stuf and fixes going on! DU getting clother and clother to actual 1.0, I already find it more pleasant to play than vanilla. Yeah, DU still have issues but much less than original game.

Re: Re Twitter
Think outside the box, Narf. Cast Spell Reflection on the enemy and then try Soultrap

Re: Re Twitter
Spell reflection just reflects some damage rather than the effect payload. But you can technically chuck Soul Trap on yourself by creating a custom AoE Soul Trap spell and casting at your feet.
But I thought of that as well. The effect payload will only attach to enemy entity types, and the "not dying" mechanism is built into the the EnemyEntity class, which isn't even attached to the player. It's a bit more robust than just not allowing cast on self.

Bah. How unimaginative.
You're supposed to check to see if an enemy has a soul trap gem, and if they do, then the PC is both dead *and* soul-trapped.
(then you delete their saves)

Now that's a fun twist to the hardcore concept.

Roguelikes have been another hobby of mine.
The hardcore, text-mode only, delete-saves-on-death kind. lol
