Agreed, I don't think DFU will be affected by this and it does not bother me at this time. However, I can understand the concern from others, especially commercial software developers who might be storing their private repositories on GitHub.
I'll just monitor the situation over the next year or two (it's going to take at least that long for anything to seriously change) and consider moving DFU if anything happens to inconvenience this project.
