Daggerfall Unity Launcher

Hi, everybody. I have an idea to create a launcher for Daggerfall Unity.
Through this launcher, you can: run, configure, update the game; download, install, configure, update mods; update this launcher.
How do you like the idea?

Mods ecosystem is not mature enough to automatize download, maybe someday.
Also, please make it as portable as Daggerfall Unity itself :)

I'm a big fan of moving the DFU launcher out of the game window and into a standard OS box like Eduke32 and HoMM3HD. I dunno what the implications of that are for portability, but DFU has a lot of options and they'd look nicer in a scrollable listview table. Cramming them into a 320x200 window seems iffy.

Unless of course, you like reading at this font size :)

I like launchers, esp the function to load a specific save... select save, click and skip everything and just load the game.
And with all the options DFU now has, it would be cool to have it in a launcher as well.
Plus maybe to mod organiser etc.

I know the later things are in the game menu (to which you cant return from the game :lol: )

But all in all... Im up for a nice launcher.

Will test the thing u posted.

I like this, but I hope by "download" you mean downloading updates for Daggerfall Unity. That would be nice. Any automated update system would be nice.

Sorry for not showing up for a long time. I had problems with the Windows and had to restore the system. Because of this, I did not upload builds of my launcher. But now the problems in the past and here's the latest version of the launcher. PostScript: soon I will be able to compile the launcher for Linux.
