I found the problem. It's the Mouse Look option. Go into "mouse" and change the cursor setting. Your "Look Around" will convert to "Sneak."

Daggerfall is a beast no man can tame :(

Interesting, I never tried that option before. Strange that it totally changes how sneak works. This info is not on the uesp page either.

Fascinating! I didn't know that particular layer either.

Teralitha, most people play with view mode, not cursor mode. That's likely why you also experienced issues with attack gestures a few days ago, as you still have cursor mode enabled. Your observations differed from others as you're using a totally different (and far less popular) interface mode.

As DFU only implements view mode at this time, and I have no plans to implement cursor mode for now, it would probably help to enable fullscreen view mode in your classic install so we're all comparing apples with apples here. :)
