Trees of Daggerfall crashing

Hi folks,

I'm sorry if I missed a topic discussion about this but I couldn't find it. As long as I play in an area with only 2d sprites like in the desert or in winter everything is fine but I have the problem that if trees of daggerfall is on and I fast travel to an area where I should see the 3d tree models the game crashes. . Every other mod works but not this one. And the craziest thing is that this mod worked with my older graphic card. With my new sapphire 590 nitro it doesn't seem to work in any way. Is there a fix known for this problem? Because in the released mod topic of trees of daggerfall i saw someone reporting the same problem but no one answered him.

edit: I just found out it works when I set the distance settings to 1 but the performance is crap :cry:

I don't know how to solve your problem but it might help to take a look at your output_log file. When you start DFU, on the screen where you can go the mod section it'll show the location where you can find it. Make sure to crash DFU again or it may not contain any useful information.

Another thing that might help is listing the versions of DFU and the mods you are using.

Its very demanding and it seems this issue will be hard to deal with unfortunatelly

Crashes are often due to not having enough memory or other memory issues. Are you sure nothing else changed beside your graphic card? Maybe you installed additional mods and overall requirements increased.

Checking the log is always a good idea 😉

Hi Flo, you should be fine as it works great on my 580 8Gb card. When you set distance setting to 1, all the natures will be replaced (if available in the mod) and not combine with the standard billboards at greater distances. Would be interested in more info from logs etc.
