Hazelnuts recently added the latest addition to Roleplaying & Realism: Enemy Appearance Remix
In the wake of that, I became aware that it was sort of weird that the castle guard all had these horned helmets. And that the now bare-chested barbarians did not have horned helmets.

So, I just edited the two sprite sets involved. using a lot of cut-n-paste to swap out their helmets.

Plans for the future? None, really. Editing sprites was a lot of repetitive and boring work. I mostly did it to see how it was done. I might go back in the future and do something for female sprites as well, but we'll see.

Why have you decided to add horned helmets to barbarians? Just curious. :)

Another idea perhaps you'd be interested in.

In current R&R I noticed that I'm a bit uncomfortable with warriors and knights equipping only blunt weapons. Swords and axes should be much more common. Now standard melee fighters all have war hammers... The easiest way to address this is to keep vanilla warrior sprite, but it's also possible (though very boring, I see) to replace their weapons. Would be a good addition to this patch anyway. ;)

Because the barbarians looked boring, and having horns on their helms seems like a thing barbarians would do :D

I actually thought about swapping around weapons. Problem is, the sword attack has a different move set, so I can’t just copy stuff. I could switch hammer and axe, because they use the same frames, but that’s a bit pointless.
