QOL suggestion: Exit to Main Menu
Simply, change the "Exit Game" button ingame to take you to the Main Menu instead of quitting the game.
Sometimes you've built a character wrong or just want to start a new character. And it always seems so pointless to have to close the entire game and re-start it just to get the option of New Game.

Out of 100 times you click exit ingame, how many of those times is it to create a new character?

Eh, I guess I use it more than the average user. Still though, it seems odd that you can't get back to the main menu.
One way to do it, would be to do the change here:
When pressing no, you could get a second YES/NO asking "Do you want to go to the Main Menu?"
If you press NO again, you go back to your current game.

Re: QOL suggestion: Exit to Main Menu
I'm just saying, this is a proportion thing, not a raw benefit. You're adding a click here to save a click there. If the frequency of times you just want to exit the program greatly exceeds the frequency with which you want to redo something, you're better off leaving it as is.Azteca wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 2:42 pmThere are many times I'd like to change mod settings.BansheeXYZ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 2:40 pm Out of 100 times you click exit ingame, how many of those times is it to create a new character?

Or it could be added as an advanced option. Or INI-setting.

Re: QOL suggestion: Exit to Main Menu
You can use console command change_modsettings but not all mods support it. The ability to go back to the main menu wouldn't change the need for mods to explicitly support this feature.Azteca wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 2:42 pmThere are many times I'd like to change mod settings.BansheeXYZ wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 2:40 pm Out of 100 times you click exit ingame, how many of those times is it to create a new character?

I believe Interkarma was already planning to add an option to return to the DFU main menu (though I can't find the post now - it was probably a year ago), which of course would be extremely convenient.

Re: QOL suggestion: Exit to Main Menu
Heh, I find the press Esc -> click "Exit Game" -> Click "Yes" route already too long.
I have resorted to using Alt-F4
No more than two clicks or keypresses should be able to close the game.
Preferable a Save&Exit button or key-combo without confirmation.
No harm in putting an extra button somewhere to go to the main menu (which one is that by the way? The scroll with three options or the DFU startup with all the options and configurations?)
