Hey, no problem. I'm not a farmer, either. And I tend to sound more definitive than I intend. :) It's something I'm working on. :)

Since Uncanny_Valley is not actively visiting the forum for a few months already, i'm thinking how to best manage this mod to keep it updated with newer versions of DU and keep improving it. He originally espressed his desire to see this mod expanded, and - additionally to my improvements - it actually received some commits from a contributor while it was in the main code, so i wonder if it's a nice idea to upload it on github and manage it from there. Since i'm not the original author and it's not my intention to take credits for his work, i imagine it's better to discuss this here before doing anything.

Anyway, i've already updated the mod to benefit from customization and allow user to set their favorite size and shape of grass, this is coming out great :)

REAL GRASS 1.08

Description
This mod adds grass billboards to the terrain of Daggerfall Unity.

It's available in two versions:
  • RealGrass
    This is the original mod made by Uncanney_Valley and improved by midopa.
  • GrassAndPlants
    A revision by TheLacus which also adds water grass and plants, according to differents climates,
    and little stones on farms ground.
Requirements
Daggerfall Unity 0.4.12

Installation
Put the *.dfmod file 'DaggerfallUnity_Data/StreamingAssets/Mods'.
Use the load order settings window to choose if you want water plants and stones or only grass,
and customize the size and shape of grass.

If you wish to uninstall, you can safely remove the mod from the StreamingAssets folder.
It won't affect saves.

GrassAndPlants and maintenance: TheLacus

Compatibility
This mod is compatible with Nystul' Distant Terrain.
Be careful when installing other mods that affects terrain.

  • Real Grass and Grass&Plants now are packed in the same mod for increased ease of use and maintenance.
  • (optional) Added winter version of water plants.
  • Customize size and shape of grass from the settings window.
  • Minor improvements.
