100+ models I made for DaggerXL some years ago

Post by AlexanderSig »

Hey guys, I just dug up a folder full of models I made for Daggerfall between 2011-2012. There's at least 100 of them although some of them are unfinished and/or of poor quality. I'd like to start importing them to DFUnity now but that may take me a long time, I have now started medical school and don't have as much free time as I did back in the day so....

I was wondering if anyone here would be interested in helping me import these models to DFUnity. I can send you the folder. I'd guess about half of them are completely finished but the others require touch-up and optimizing.

You made all of these from scratch yourself? That's awesome!

I'm sorry to say I don't have the skill in 3D or Unity to help, but kudos on all the work you've already done; they look great.

I'm glad you decided to bring your models here, they are awesome.

Hey Arl! Good to see you too :)

So I imported one of my models but the textures I made in 2012 stuck out like a sore thumb, I didn't feel they fit into the game world at all so I've been retexturing and optimizing my models and I think they fit in really well in this style and will fit in even better with newer textures on floors/walls.

I've got 11 out of 19 models for all chairs/benches/tables finished and imported and I hope to finish and release them all as a download next week

What do you guys think?

First release is up. This includes all chairs, stools, benches, tables and thrones in the game.

I haven't been able to find all the models in-game yet so please help me test this and let me know if any models are acting weird.

Great!
But it looks like there is no back side and you can see the light isn't it? Unfortunately these models are often not touching the wall like they should.
