Hi :)

If you never heard of it, its a script which changes the paperdoll backgrounds according to time of a day, location and weather - written by Josh Camas and donated to me - I will explain basics here:
  • It has 4 interior types:
    _CASTLE
    _DUNGEON
    _OPENSHOP
    _BUILDING

  • It has 5 exterior weather types:
    _RAIN
    _SNOW
    _STORM
    _FOG
    _OVERCAST
    (snowing is missing :X)

  • Exterior weather types have 2 times of day:
    default - standard look
    _NIGHT

  • It has 3 beast forms:
    Vampire, WereWolf, WereBoar




PART 1 - BUG

When transformed to the VAMPIRE, the dynamic background does not switch when indoors
(to dungeon, shop, house, castle)
Otherwise it works 100%, it changes according to day time and weather, just does not switch when indoors.
Expected behavior: Dynamic background changes to _DUNGEON while in dungeon as a VAMPIRE

PART 2 - BUG

When I enter the shop, background properly changes to SHOP. When I leave the shop, background stays changed to SHOP until I enter another BUILDING other than shop.
Expected behavior: When leaving the SHOP, background changes to the dynamic outdoor.

As you can see the script changes the backgrounds while inside (Castle, Dungeon, OpenShop, Building)
Id like to extend it for INN & TEMPLE interiors Can someone script that in pls?

Dynamic Background changes according to daytime and weather.
But its missing a WINTER SEASON AND SNOW WEATHER.
Can someone script the winter season in?
So when there is a winter, I can provide a snow covered version (IF fitting, for desert I will use standard season images during winter) - with time of a day and weathers possibly.


I cant code anything, help would be very appreciated!

Added another bug. You can find it at PART 2
Added some basic description at the start of opening post

Its quite desperate here. Can I help you with anything, I see ppl downloaded it but nobody replied.
I will support you with anything I can. I REALLY want to fix at least the bugs.

The script is not that long, it has some basic explanation written in it. Please, try it.

That is really not necessary, lol.
It turned to be relatively easy to do.


It would be cool if someone made a pixelart version of dynamic backgrounds.
If someone decides to do this, feel free to ask me for help with implementing them in-game.

P.S.: KoW, maybe replace "SCRIPT latest version" with the actual latest version. ;)

Yeah, for nobody most likely... but maybe, someone will try to make a pixelart version of these backgrounds and will find this thread...

I can pixelize it using one nice tool I have here...
But you can hardly see the effect here, it blurs things up, even your image viewer does most likely unless set differently.

I think it would be worth it to release the pixelated dynamic backgrounds on their own at some point.

I can do that and I see some ppl using it, so it will happen in the future. Just need to test the current version properly. I already found some bugs on my side. Its 96 backgrounds just for exteriors now...
