Hi, I want to make a list of NPCs which have wrong portrait to them, so all these bugs are reported in one place. I will update the thread during the time. If other ppl join in the reports, it will be great and it will speed up the process.
I will start with a Shopkeeper as he is everywhere
SHOPKEEPER
NPC archive: 182_0-0
Current portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_390-0 (has full beard while the NPC does not)
Suggested portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_459-0
LADY NORTHBRIDGE - Sentinel 1st room, animated lady in blue
NPC Archive: 357_0-0
Current portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_366-0 (lady in a red hood)
Suggested portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_424-0 (similar face but w/o wrong hood)
SENTINEL THRONE GUARD - RIGHT by the stairs to the Senti throne
NPC Archive: 357_11-0
Current portrait:
Suggested portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_501-0 - 100% fitting portrait
SENTINEL THRONE GUARD - LEFT by the stairs to the Senti throne
NPC Archive: 357_10-0
Current portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_500-0
Suggested portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_468-0 - more fitting dark skin tone
GENERIC MALE NPC IN INTERIOR

Suggested portrait: FACES.CIF_39-0 - 100% fit
LOCATION (no terrain mods so it should work)
WAYREST THRONE ROOM MALE right side by the pillar
NPC Archive: 346_8-0
Current portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_476-0 (complete missmatch)
Suggested portrait: TFAC00I0.RCI_442-0

I'll move this one to Issues for discussion and follow-up.
If anyone wants to help with this and send a PR, it would be appreciated. The fix is to change the face index in FACTION.TXT for that specific NPC resource. It isn't always easy to work out which faction the NPC data is drawn from in-game, I'll probably have to add a helper for this.
@KoW - thanks for providing save for the generic NPC. That's definitely helpful beyond the really easy ones like nobility in castles. Cheers!

I don't know how to refer to portrait IDs, but KoW is aware of an issue I reported in the wrong thread a while ago, so he may be able to track them down.
There's a child portrait associated with the shopkeeper of Tristard's Quality Fashion in Tuntower, Daggerfall. I have also seen the same NPC with the same portrait in one variant of the Archaeologist Guild halls.

The issue I mentioned in my previous reply could be about more than just a wrong portrait. I have since learned that the sprite for that shopkeeper is also the sprite for Prince Lhotun of Sentinel (the Prince himself has an appropriate portrait). Therefore, the matching portrait is already assigned to a unique NPC in the main quest.

The Archaeologists' Guild is not DFU content. You'll need to speak with Hazelnut about that problem.I have also seen the same NPC with the same portrait in one variant of the Archaeologist Guild halls.

I don't know if this one is fixable since it is not a stationary NPC, but I found this guy. Save attached.

I loaded that save again and he wasn't there. I guess wandering NPCs aren't saved.
