This will be fixed in the next VE version, due sometime this week.

I noticed that the Dream patch for this mod says Windows only.

I'm running the Linux version of Daggerfall Unity.

Since I can't peer inside the dfmod to see what's in it, does anyone mind telling me what part of the mod doesn't work on Linux?

I realize this is a completely different mod with a different maintainer, but there doesn't appear to be any forum entry for the Dream patches.

@Clatch
I'd give it a try and see what happens. Often people only build the Windows version in the Unity Editor, but that often does not mean that won't also work in the other OS versions. There are some cases where weird bugs can occur if using the "wrong" version, but those are usually pretty rare, but you can (likely) still use the Windows version without issue while on a Linux system.

So far so good. Thanks! I just wanted to be sure there weren't any executables that would break things.

No problem, it definitely can be confusing to see some mods with different OS builds and others only having one, lol.

I just downloaded the latest version of the code, and looking at the Battlespire sprites -- these are remakes too, right? Previously I assumed that you'd just scaled down those Dremora sprites from the game, but now I'm starting to have a suspicion that they have been remade from scratch using Mark Jones' originals as a reference.

To my best knowledge, they are remakes indeed, due to the copyright concerns.

If these are indeed remakes, I'm not sure if copyright concerns were the main reason, as opposed to greater stylistic continuity with vanilla Daggerfall sprites. I'm pretty certain that such a sprite sheet as those included with the Enemy Expansion count as "derived works" and are still covered by Bethesda's copyright of the original assets (i. e. the characters from Arena and Battlespire).

That aside, I wish Kab & Kamer (or possibly other artists) would give a stab at making higher-resolution enemies in the same style as Mark Jones' unused female NPC from Battlespire:
