Hello,
I recently updated my DFU from the GOG version to 1.0. When I did this, I found out that Castle Wayrest is no longer present in game and persists even when I travel away to another region and back. I have not found anything indicating that this is a known issue. Is the best route here to restart my game from the beginning?
Hope that someone can answer me. Thanks in advance!

Please ditch the GOG Cut and start fresh, it's the only way. I have a guide for it below to make sure you don't miss anything.

GOG Cut is horribly outdated and packed with mismatched, incompatible mods. Nobody here can support other than to suggest removing it.
GOG have said they will update the version of DFU on their store, but as yet this hasn't happened and I can't say for sure if it ever will.
When starting fresh, be sure to extract to a completely new folder and delete your settings.ini. Any mods you add back should be updated as well and verified to be compatible with 1.1.1 (the latest release at this time).
