Apologies if this is a rude question, but this forum seems very quiet considering how much effort and skill has gone into Daggerfall Unity and its mods, and how popular they seem to be.

Is there another, more active community with more posts somewhere else? A Discord or something?

Hello! This community was more active in the early years when Daggerfall Unity was still in development. These days, you'll find a more active fan community at Lysandus' Tomb Discord.

I have considered closing these forums, but eventually decided there's still value in retaining a small slice of an earlier Internet. Even though most people have moved on to exist inside one walled garden or another, I think it's important a few places like this remain.

Thank you, that's very helpful! Speaking for myself, I've found the forums very useful; the answers to a lot of questions I've had showed up in search results pointing to these forums.

I am an old fart and have a soft spot in my heart for forums that tend to emulate the old BBS forums.

Forums are far better than Discord. Here you can find ideas, fixes and other stuff that just get lost when using a discord. Never really liked Discord to be honest.
