Well, flaws work both ways.
Of course, had the game been too buggy (and maybe it was upon release; the last official release from Bethesda can still corrupt saves!) it could have killed the fun and we would not be talking about it today.
But people that went past the clunky interface and the occasional bugs may have had a glimpse at the diamond in the rough, and the huge ambition of Daggerfall's game designers.
For those, flaws transformed into a desire for the game to be restored. The shortcomings, results of both the game development being rushed (less than 2 and half years of development) and technological limitations of the time, became calls for a remake.
Specially since this game still feels unique to this day.
I'm also amazed by the quality of the discussions in those forums. We all mostly share common goals, and there's certainly something to be said about Interkarma's patience and fairness being communicative, but it's also in the end every member's doing, so kudos everyone.winston wrote: ↑Tue Dec 25, 2018 8:45 am This board has a really cool vibe and I hope to get involved in a few neat projects somewhere down the line. I also happen to be in the very early stages of developing a DOS-like first-person adventure game, and would welcome any suggestions or comments from anyone who might be interested.
Best of luck in your own projects!
