I think the frost element should look more like a snowflake and have a six-fold radial symetry. There's plenty of shapes to choose from...
Maybe that didn't look so good in 320x200 resolution, but there's no reason not to do it now
At least that's something to try
Also, isn't green color associated with poison element in general in Daggefall?
It's not in the original of those icons, but I think it would be good to use that convention here too, specially since the color of the skull and bones does not pop on this yellow background...

Well, Pango is right with the six fold radial symetry thing. Thats how snowflakes are formed. And this icon is supposed to be a snowflake.

And yes, poison is associated with green, not only in DFU (green poison cloud spell effect) but in the world in general.
So if the skull was green, it would be more straightforward MAYBE! U never know until you see it .)
I would not be afraid to introduce such changes at all, these make perfect sense and clarity.
So Im up for a green skull and six fold symetry snowflake

Awesome, because I was actually planning both of those things
Say, Thinking about it, could you do some blank buttons for me KOW? I am not great at textures, and it seems a shame to not match the stone types exactly. Then I'll paint over em.

I will try. Just getting this golden/yellowish color will be harder. Will do it now

Here they are 6x the original resolution, that is the best IMHO. Because for example 320x200 (1996 fulscreen res) becomes 1920x1200, which is the 16:10 full HD monitor screen size (and that is the monitor I use never liked the 16:9)
