Updated to v0.2.2. Disabling the "Enemies Transition With You" setting didn't do anything. Whoops, sorry.

I create characters and play them in ways that have enough difficulties as it is, so I don't use Ironman, but I'm loving the gameplay changes of the Ironman Game Systems mod. For me it's a great companion to the RP&Realism mod for making it a better RP experience.
It's interesting how much more missing I'm doing with the Critical Strike change. I had no idea how much that was helping me until it was switched to doing actual crits with this mod.
I haven't tested out the "enemies following you" setting, but that looks like just the kind of thing I like. Where exploits are removed in favour of realism.

Hey, Ralzar, glad you're enjoying the mod! Ironman adds executions to the court system, so you may want to leave Ironman enabled, but just select "No" on the Ironman game mode question at the start of a new game.

You won't lose any saves with the mod enabled when playing non-Ironman characters (as long as the name of the non-Ironman character is not the exact same as an Ironman character).

Oh, that's nice to know. I don't think I actually put the Ironman mod in the stremaingassets folder. I'll make sure to do that.
I usually play with only one save and no take-back, so quests get failed I get sick etc without loading, but there's just too man cheap deaths in Daggerfall to make me want to risk all my hard work suddenly getting deleted. With one save there's still a bit of risk. All that's needed is to make a save while in a dungeon I can't find my way out of or while sick/poisoned with no cure close enough.

I very much see the appeal of ironman though.
Suggestion: How about a variant that gives you "lives? So you, for example, start with 5 lives and then it counts down for each death and at 0 lives it deletes the save?

Question: The settings for not pausing the game? Does this make it not pause when you go into the menu screen to save or exit? I actually like the concept of the game not pausing while in inventory screens, but I need a way to pause the game when my wife wants my attention :D

The game fails to pause everywhere except the console and the court system. You can open the console with ~ and give yourself a break as needed.

Surely the cheater's console is disabled by ironman systems?? 8-)

Nah, Ironman wanted to keep it in as a failsafe. And besides, you'll still want access to things like teleport, tele2qmarker, and enddebugquest when things go very badly :)

Hm, for some reason, since I updated to 0.10.8, ironman does not seem to save an exit save anymore automatically (or does not work really at all, as I can load and save freely again, as if it's not installed). But it is activated as before in my load order.

Edit: Although it may also be related to updating a bunch of other mods, such as Warm Ashes, for 0.10.8...

Correct me if I am wrong, but this mod has not had a release compatible with 0.10.8 yet. You should probably not upgrade DFU until the mods are updated.

I see. Do new updates of DFU break mods always, or can some still work as intended?
