Hey all

i just picked up the guild 2 and expansions. Is it recommended to download that fan patch thats out there? or is vanilla fine?

The Guild 2 is fun, unique and buggy as hell, kinda like some other game we know.

I would recommend playing the latest version of Renaissance, and then decide if you want "more" and go for the fan patch.
I found that both official and fan versions have stuff that doesn't work - as I remember the fan patch added a bunch of professions and not all of them work well, just like in Renaissance not all professions work well. Like if you become a Banker and sell your documents at the market they may not disappear and so prices will continue to drop. Whereas the fan version introduced some "brute force" methods to fix economy bugs like wiping inventories.
