Agreed. I just noticed underwater lights in a stream. This should be relatively easy to check for.

only the light spell should work underwater
This would give the humble light spell new usefulness, too. I'm totally for it.

Maybe candles and torches should have a chance of blowing out in certain areas, lanterns dont, light spell is superior to all.

Also can you drop candles to mark where youve been?

Update 1.1.0

By accident I included some code in the last update that was not intended as part of the mod. The code was testing how to change the ambient light in houses as there is currently no way to do this.
Since I accidentally included an unfinished version of it, I found out I liked it so much I refined it and made it an official part of the mod until it (hopefully) becomes part of the DFU settings.

If you, like me, set the Dungeon Light setting really low, you might find that houses get too dark. To compensate for this, increase the interior light source strength in Improved Interior Lighting to around 1.0.

DFU Dungeon Ambient Light at 0
Improved Interior Light, house light source strength at 1.0
Darker Dungeons sets house ambient light to DungeonAmbientLight + 0.3 = 0.3

I was wondering why interior lighting got dark all of a sudden after I updated to 0.13.5 :D

I need to try out your settings, especially because certain buildings with no torches/candles/lantern got suddenly pitch black (Mages Guild hall anyone?).

Yeah, if you set Dungeon light to 0 and do not crank up the Improved Interior Light it is going to be damn dark :D

Ok, now houses are back to the old "flat" lighting and the new option "Match Interior to Dungeon Light" doesn't seem to change anything.

Just in case, Advanced - Video - Ambient lit interiors is off.

What am I doing wrong?

What have you set your dungeon ambient light to in the DFU advanced settings?

I have it set to 0.2. I tried to reduce it to 0.0, but nothing changed (regarding house light).
