You're changing a huge number of regular methods into coroutines, which isn't a C# feature but a Unity invention.
That was my first proposal, but Lagless actually doesn't use coroutines, it just preloads required files during loading times. You may check the source on Nexus for more details :)

Glad to hear you came up with a more straightforward, targeted solution. You should consider making another PR.
