Hi, I'm spearheading a new section of the DFU UESP. It's called the Daggerfall Unity Bible. It's going to contain only true and accurate information, specifically about DFU's gameplay.
The Daggerfall Unity Bible
There's a ton of conflicting information and presumptions about how Daggerfall works, and that carries over into DFU. When you add in the fact that DFU intentionally deviates from Daggerfall in certain ways, the need arises for a single, authoritative source of information. The DFU Bible will be that resource. It is intended to be short and specific, with simple navigation from a single page. Some of the resource's purpose will also be in defining what things are not true, based on common assumptions people make. See these examples:
It's only just begun, but I highly recommend people to use and recommend this as a point of reference, especially for anyone new to Daggerfall Unity. If anyone feels they can contribute additional pages or information, the contributions are welcome, especially in deciphering some of the more complex formulae in the game. However, the standard of accuracy for these pages will be kept very high! The writing should be very clear, spelling out even minute details; the reader should be left with no doubt or ambiguity about what they've read, even to the point of redundancy.

I don't know if it could be added to the Resting page, or deserves its own page, but enemies spawning algorithm has eluded players for years, and was only fully understood at the end of 2019; Seems like a candidate obscure mechanic
Even finding the original reverse-engineering discussion ain't easy, because it happened inside a support thread

Yeah, I'd definitely want the enemy spawning mechanics, maybe in the Resting page. I'll take a look at those links and see if I can put it into words. Thanks pango.

I tried updating the the Resistance section of the Daggerfall Bible. I made the changes according to this conversation: viewtopic.php?t=5577 with Interkarma, and my own digging through the code. I have gone over it several times and believe that it is all correct, but I would appreciate a second set of eyes to double check.
