The only thing stopping you from playing Daggerfall is you. Nobody is going to compile a list for you just so you can play, that's something you have to do yourself. I'm sure most modders are willing to answer any questions you have about their specific mods.

I don't want to discuss open source vs. closed source. It's done thousands times out there.

Listen guys, just tag your DFU as "partially open source" and I am fine with that, I would never have downloaded it.

Well, that's unfortunate, since it is a great game with a fully published source code. If it isn't to your liking, we wish you the best elsewhere. Since this topic can't possibly go anywhere good from here, I'll close it.
